COVID-19 UPDATE

The information below is paramount. We are going to continue to have church and prayer meeting as long as we are able (see #5below), however potlucks will be cancelled for the time being.  Please read through the rest of the information and watch the video

Please take a minute to review the following guidelines to maintain health and stop the spread of illness:

  • Do not shake hands, hug others, fist bump, or greet others by touching in any manner while there is the threat of Coronavirus germs.  Find creative alternatives to shaking hands.  Practice social distancing and explain that while you are not ill and have no symptoms, you will remain away from others for their protection.  A distance of 12 feet is necessary to prevent the spread of germs through sneezing.

  • Sneeze and cough into the crook of your arm or onto your shoulder rather than your hands.

  • Avoid putting your hands on or near your face, especially your mouth, nose or eyes to minimize exposure.

  • Wash your hands often using soap and warm water for 20 seconds (the length of time it takes to repeat John 3:16, 17), especially after blowing your nose, coughing, touching doorknobs or other communally handled objects, etc. Assume all surfaces are infected and act accordingly.

  • Self-quarantine: Use the Golden Rule and “Do unto others” – Please stay home if you have cold or flu symptoms or have had close contact with someone who does (such as a member of your household).

  1. Immediately read and begin to follow all sanitation and prevention guidelines listed at www.carolinasda.org.
  2. Show the following video from AdventHealth this Sabbath during services: https://adventhealth.us9.list-manage.com/track/click?u=85c485fc3268a37e8b6e84a7e&id=885413c158&e=18c44d7bd7
  3. We are going to Immediately suspend all group meals, including potlucks, social gatherings where food is served, etc.
  4. Request that our members over 65 year of age, or any who have respiratory, heart problems, or other underlying health issues, remain at home.
  5. Request that anyone who is experiencing any symptoms, or has been in contact with someone who is ill (such as a family member or other member of their household or workplace), are requested to not enter.
  6. All members are encouraged to use our online giving icon on our church web site to return their tithes and offerings.
  7. We ask everyone to pray that God use this time to His eternal purposes and that Satan's plans are thwarted.
I am very available for your needs and will look for you to call/text or email me. If it comes to closing the church I will be using Facebook live to connect, study and preach.

These are wonderful times in which we are living. Let this spur you on to connect with Jesus.
         With Love Your  Pastor Tim.
